Retroverted Uterus and it's Ayurvedic Correlation

Retroverted uterus  and it's Ayurvedic correlation:-

Rretroverted  Uterus may correlate with Antarmukhi Yonivyapad

According to conventional science(modern science) retroverted  uterus occurs by two ways

1-Congenital-

 retroversion of the uterus is the normal uterine position for about 20% percent of women

2-Acquired –

There are a few causes of this condition in women who did not have previously retroverted uterus and it occurs due to the  following causes:-

• Weakening pelvic ligaments associated with menopause

• Enlargement of the uterus, either as the result of pregnancy or tumour

•  pelvic adhesions can also keep the uterus retroverted position, may be caused by endometriosis ,pelvic inflammatory disease or pelvic surgery. 

CAUSE OF ANTARMUKHI YONIVYAPAD ACCORDING TO ACHARYA CHARAK

1-If a woman having a heavy,full meal and after it she enters into sexual intercourse  then Vata located in the reproductive system/organ gets suppressed by food. 

2-This aggravated Vata causes distortion of Yonimukh(Cervix) .Due to this change occurred in cervx she suffers from pain in the bones and muscles.

3- Due to sever pain coital act becomes intolerable for her. This disease of Yoni(Uterus and Cervix) is called ANTARMUKHI YONIVYAPAD. च.चि.30/29-31
