AVOID UNHEALTHY HABITS -

***SUPPRESSION OF NATURAL URGES, DEFECATION AND URINATION:-

A) suppressing natural urge to defecate(नैसर्गिक मलप्रवृत्ति अवरोध) causes health problems ,such as

- पिण्डिका उद्वेष्टन/पोटऱ्यांना,पायाला गोळे येणे twisting pain of calf

-प्रतिश्याय /सर्दी/नासास्त्राव- running nose

–शिरोरुजा/डोके दुखणे -head ache

 - उर्धवायु-upward movement of Vata,

– परिकर्तिका/-गुदाला चिरा पडणे,रक्त पडणे,खाज येणे anal fissure

-हृदय जखडल्याप्रमाणे वाटणे-  feeling of stiffness in chest 

-मुखातुन मलप्रवृत्ति – vomiting feces 

-and all diseases occurring due to suppression of natural urge of farting (अधोवात),is previously described in last article

B)Bad effect of Suppression of natural urge of urination:

अंगभंग /संपुर्ण शरिरात वेदना- body pain

मुत्र अश्मरी /मुतखडा– Urinary calculi

बस्ति,मेढ्र,वंक्षण वेदना/मुत्राशय,मुत्रमार्ग दुखणे,नाभीखाली -pain in penis, inguinal and bladder region.

-sometimes diseases that are mentioned  in suppression of flatus and faeces may also occur  

*****Treatment for diseases due to suppression of natural urges of defecation and urination*******

Treatment  of the diseases arising from suppression of natural urge of defecation and urination is same as for the suppression of farting,these are

वर्ति – Rectal and urethral suppositories

अभ्यंग – Oil massage

अवगाह – tub bath, sitz bath

स्वेदन/वाफ – sweating therapy

बस्ति – rectal enema

मलभेदक अन्नपान – all food that help to induce purgation should be given

* *****In addition to above treatment, specific treatment  "Awapidak Sneha "is advised  for diseases caused by   suppression of urine:-

1)drinking of ghee in small quantity before lunch

2)or drinking of maximum quantity of ghee,in empty stomach, early in the morning ,that is after totally digestion of dinner.

*A process of  drinking  of ghee in above both methods is called as "Avapidaka Sheha(अवपीडक स्नेह)"
